| 中文描述 | 此疾病所造成的心房心室擴張與心肌收縮力不良，常是因為食物中的牛磺酸不足所導致，但是也有其他的病因可能引發本疾病。本疾病常繼發肺臟與肝臟鬱血、胸水、與血栓的後遺症。診斷方式以臨床症狀、檢驗、血中牛磺酸濃度、放射線學檢查、血管造影、心臟超音波檢查、或經由剖檢發現為主。 |
| 英文描述 | This disease of dilated atria and ventricles with poor myocardial contractility is usually due to taurine deficiency in the diet, but there are also other causes of this syndrome. Pulmonary and hepatic congestion, pleural effusion, and thromboembolism are common sequelae. Dx is by signs, exam, plasma taurine levels, radiology, angiography, echocardiography, or at necropsy. Pleural effusion often obscures the enlarged atria and ventricles from radiographic view. |
